Light Painting Photo Booth

Part photo-booth part interactive art, the Light Painting Photo Booth allows participants to paint with light and see it happen in realtime, using a variety of light up objects such as fiber optics and smart LEDs. At the end a flash is triggered, illuminating participants in their painting.  Jess has fabricated a variety of LED toys to play with in the photo booth, such as a special LED wand programmed to play back bitmap images of fluorescent microscope images and other science themed graphics.  Finished light paintings are uploaded to: instagram @LightPaintingPhotoBooth. The Photo Booth has been featured at Maker Faire Milwaukee, Boston Children’s Museum Createdby festival, Cambridge Science Festival, and elsewhere.
